Gi Armstrong (K 99-01) founded her label in 2014 after graduating from Brighton University with a Fashion Textiles Degree.
Shibori is as an ancient type of patterned textiles from Japan traditionally used in the production of kimono jackets .
Gi is inspired by travels and trips to India, Morocco and the far East. She now works with wood block printers and embroiderers in India to bring together her clothing and accessories. Gi loves craftsmanship and is keen to keep these practices alive.
The company focuses on using sustainable materials, processes, and production where possible, in order to improve and extend each garment’s life.
