The original Frank Bird business was founded in Barnsley, South Yorkshire at the outbreak of war in 1939 by Malcolm Bird's father – 80 years later, the Frank Bird brand was relaunched in the Autumn of 2019, once again providing premium menswear at the original Barnsley location aswell as a second store in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Malcolm is an Old Bradfieldian (B 59-63).
