Sharing a throwback picture from the College Archive of Bradfield Waifs Cricket Club taken in 1929 and referring to a game on 28/29 August 1929 against Eastbourne. It appears that the Bradfield Waifs lost in the match from the detail on the back of the photograph shown below.

Players for the Bradfield Waifs included in the photograph were: Ronald Groves (seated right), Alexander Topping (back row centre), Ronald Grimston (back left), Ian Sorensen (seated left), David Shaw (seated second from left), Royston Benda (seated second from right), Richard Shaw (back row right hand side), Alfred Breton (second from back left), Louis Hunt (seated centre), Henry Usborne (back row second from right) and Ivor Samuelson (on the ground front of picture).

Ahead of the traditional Waifs Week which starts each year in early July with two 2 day games against both Pelsham and Free Foresters, the Club continues to thrive to this day. However, the formality of blazers and cravats has gone out of fashion.
