Bust of Baron Fraser of North Cape gifted to college in 1992

The College is proud of its connection with Bradfieldians Bruce Austin Fraser and his brother Cecil who both came to Bradfield from 1900 -1902. Bruce was in the Navy Class and Cecil the Army Class under Headmaster Dr Gray before they started their respective military careers.

Bruce went on during his long naval career to become First Sea Lord and Admiral of the Fleet before he retired in 1951. He continued his connection with Bradfield as a Member of the Council from 1946 onwards and inspecting the CCF in July 1947. The College received this bust as a gift in 1992 from Thomas W Ferrers-Walker, RN who had served on board HMS Duke of York with Bruce.

As we look into Bruce's connections to Bradfield we wonder if anyone recognises ever seeing the bust on display around the College or if it has always been in the College Archive?
