Al MacEwen starts Y13 Bradfield Society House Tours

As one of this favourite undertakings of the year, Al MacEwen, Director of Bradfield Society is starting his tour of the Houses to speak with the Y13s who in 6 short months will be leaving the College, transitioning from pupils to Old Bradfieldians. The purpose of his visit is to briefly introduce them to the Bradfield Society and encourage them to join the Bradfield Society online as a guaranteed way of staying in contact with their contemporaries and the College upon leaving.

'The Upper Sixth are entering a very crucial time at Bradfield and before they become consumed with exams we are keen to ensure that they understand the opportunity they have to maintain an enduring connection with the College. This connection will not only be great for them socially but also give them access to a great pool of talented people with whom they can network.'

Al will tour all the houses during the Lent Term and then have a dedicated Bradfield Society assembly with the Sixth Formers at the start of the Summer Term to address them in more detail as a leaving year group about the Bradfield Society and the ongoing support and connection it provides upon leaving the College and how they can be involved. Leavers will also be given the opportunity to apply for the Bradfield Society Travel Awards, which offer financial support for trips - gap year or in the holidays before university - that are either in support of a charity or particularly adventurous, or both! More details to follow...

Whilst they register now, the Y13's will not be allowed access to the Bradfield Society online features, like joining alumni clubs, until they become leavers as they currently have protected status as pupils. A key future feature for them as leavers will be their dedicated '2024 Leavers' Club which will allow them to share messages easily across their entire year, making it easy to coordinate gatherings in the future.
