World Mental Health Day 2024

Engages pupils this week

This Thursday, 10th October, it is World Mental Health Day. The overall objective of this day is to raise awareness of the importance of mental health, as well as to educate ourselves on the topic.

This year, the day is specifically focusing on the relationship between the workspace and mental health. By creating safer, healthier and more comfortable environments at school [or work], it can positively impact the entire community. As we spend so much of our time at school [or work], it’s so important that we look out for each other for everyone’s benefit. This day should be a reminder to look after yourself and others; take time to do some mindfulness, do a kind act for someone, and take a break to make sure that you are okay too. If you’re struggling there are so many people you can talk to, for example your friends, housemaster, peer mentors, tutors and more. Enjoy the day, and make sure everyone else can too!!
