Many congratulations to Colin Irvine and his driver Charlie Sykes, who are both members of the College teaching staff and who completed a 'Run the Ridgeway' challenge in 20 hours over the weekend raising over £1700 so far for the Bradfield Club in Peckham.

The aim of the challenge as Colin says on his fundraising page was 'As a teacher and DofE Manager at Bradfield College, I am blessed with beautiful surroundings, quality equipment and ample financial and logistical support with which to deliver memorable expeditions for some 150 pupils each year. It seems only right, and entirely in keeping with the ethos of DofE, that we should strive to provide some of these opportunities for the club that our school helped to found over 100 years ago.'

In order to do this, Colin completed the full Ridgeway National Trail of 87 miles - typically a route walked in 5-6 days - in just 20 hours in what he describes as an 'ultra trail marathon'. See the map below.

This is a wonderful achievement and if anyone would like to read more about Colin's challenge and see his crowdfunding total it can be viewed here
