The Bradfield Horizons department are running a networking event for pupils on Thursday 24 November. They are looking for volunteers who are happy to share their careers insights with pupils in what will be many pupils' first experience of careers networking.
Read more about the networking event and register as an Industry Professional and Emma Feast in the Horizons team will make contact with you shortly.
The below report covers the same gathering last year;
The 6th form pupils joined 25 professionals working in a wide variety of sectors, to learn about their jobs and which career path had led them to their roles today. It was great to see this event take place live again. Big School was absolutely buzzing with conversation as the pupils talked to lawyers, engineers, scientists, events managers and surveyors to name a few. Over recent years we have shifted the emphasis slightly to help the pupils to see the importance of networking and how practicing this skill early on will help them in the future. Time and again we have witnessed the willingness of parents, alumni and local business leaders to help our pupils with advice and sometimes offers of work experience or to make connections for them and are incredibly grateful to the Bradfield Society community for their support.
