News from the College |
Bradfield recognises the importance of the legacy of our alumni and their contribution to Society. To help inspire the current and future generations of students to share in that legacy, when the main Dining Hall was refurbished back in 2019, new portraits were added to the walls. These portraits replaced the paintings of old Headmasters which now continue to grace some of the other walls around the College.
The latest addition of two portraits in the main Dining Hall feature Photographer and Social Activist Misan Harriman (C 91-94) and Motorsport Engineer Charlotte Phelps (K 07-12). These have been added to pictures already in the Dining Hall and the small annex room including Cricketer Lauren Bell (J 17-19), Orthopaedic Surgeon Rob Pollock (H 81-86) and Dancer Chris Scott (E 07-09). Last week a new batch of eight portraits were put up in the Faulkner’s Dining Hall too.
The new pictures in Faulkner’s Dining Hall include: Actor Rita Bernard-Shaw (I 13-15), Tech Worker Maria Vildavskaya (J 05-09) in her Jet Suit working for Gravity Industries, Prison Warden Georgii Jackman (I 07-12), Musician Alex Chadwick (A 04-09) and Broadcaster Mark Nicholas (G 71-76) who is soon to be the President of Marylebone Cricket Club.
A gallery of some of the pictures is included below.
