John enjoyed a long and varied life and often spoke fondly of his time at Bradfield College.  He lived in a variety of locations in England, including Surrey, Berkshire, Bristol, Derby and he spent a while living in Australia.  John ended his days in retirement in Lincoln and enjoyed the retirement life there, taking part in numerous clubs and associations, particularly with respect to his lifelong interest of aviation. John passed away aged 90 on 13 January 2022.
