Bradfieldian Tim Maltin (A 86-91) now works in London and runs his own public relations company Maltin PR. He is also one of the world’s leading experts on the Royal Mail Ship Titanic and the author of three books on the topic.
As a historian and presenter, the College were very lucky recently to have him deliver a Minerva Lecture where he shared his insight into the Titanic’s only Atlantic crossing more than 112 years ago and where he aimed to dispel all the myths.
Current pupils studying History, Bradfieldians and many guests from the local community enjoyed a colourful overview using slides of the building and background of the Titanic before the doomed voyage and sinking off Newfoundland. It was an animated, fast-paced discussion with Tim sharing his knowledge and expertise and lots of questions afterwards. One guest said he was sorry when it finished.
We are pleased to share that Tim will shortly be recording a podcast with the History Hit podcaster Dan Snow, so there will be more to hear on this topic very soon.
