Family Foursomes Golf 2025

Perfect day for friendly family golf

Family Foursomes Golf or more accurately the Bradfield Society Stableford tournament based on the rules we follow, took place on Sunday 27 April 2025 in perfect golfing conditions.

We had 16 pairs of parents, pupils and alumni register to join us for an afternoon on the Bradfield College golf course and many familiar faces from previous years join us year after year. One father was even caddying for his two sons to allow them both to play this year.

Fun and friendly are key descriptions for this event, but this year Mike Goodwin who organises the golf said it was the most closely fought golf results he had ever seen. One parent summed up the atmosphere of playing with their child: "it was such fun playing as a team rather than the usual game of... trying to take me down!"

The winners of the four prizes this year were: Nearest the Pin and Nearest the Pin in two were won by current students: Ollie (D) and Ed (LE) respectively.  The Best Stableford Score as an individual was won by parent Matt Holloway and Best Stableford Score as a pair was won by Tom Liddell and his son Jack (D) with a score of 37.

Thank you again to everyone for coming along to what is one of the most popular events in the Bradfield Society calendar each year.
