Preparing the Archive for the next 175 years

The Bradfield Archive is the main repository for the historical records of Bradfield College, which embraces a diverse range of collections, dating from the seventeenth century to the present.  These include manuscripts and printed books; correspondence and diaries; photographs, prints and oil paintings; uniforms, trophies and a host of other objects of historical significance to the College. Dr John Cardwell has led the work in the archive for the last two years, and his work has been instrumental in the creation of 'Bradfield 175, A pictorial celebration of Bradfield's 175 year history'.

A key strand of John's work is to digitise the archive and thereby make accessible and preserve precious records of school life so that they can be enjoyed by future generations of Bradfieldians.
