St Andrew's Exhibition at Commem

Parents learn about the project to transform the former church into an inspirational study centre

With lessons for the year complete, a room in Gray Schools was transformed into an exhibition space for the St Andrew's project. On one side of the room a screen showed the 'flythrough' of the inside of the new building, alongside roller banners detailing fixtures and fittings, a 3D model of the church and architectural renderings. On the other, banners appealed to 2022 Leavers to 'be part of the project' by making a donation in exchange for the opportunity to see their names in a floor tile mural in the link building leading to St Andrew's. This initiative is the lead initiative for donor recognition in the building that will be extended more widely within the community come September.

Parents and pupils attending Commem were able to drop in to learn about the project from our resident experts, Programme Manager Julia Bond and Project Manager Laura Lyons as well as being able to talk about the educational aspect with Deputy Head (Academic), Neil Burch and for those interested in making a gift, Al MacEwen was at hand to explain the donor recognition options.

There was a lot of positivity for the project amongst attendees - parents, if not pupils, enthused by the potential for access to study space outside the boarding house, and widespread agreement that this was a fitting way to ensure that such a beautiful building could be retained and cared for.

If you are interested in learning more about project visit St Andrew's Project and for those considering making a gift, our donation calculators allow you to see how far your gift could go. If you have any questions about the project, or would like to discuss making a gift do call Al MacEwen on 0118 964 4841 or via development@bradfieldcollege.org.uk
